Spitfire Homes is proud to announce a duo of award wins at the Insider Midlands Residential Property Awards – a showcase of the best of the housebuilding sector in the Midlands.

At a ceremony on 22 July 2021, the team was proud to win two of the three categories it was shortlisted for:

  • Emerging Property Person of the Year, awarded to Spitfire Homes Land Manager, Sophie Smith. This award celebrates rising talent within the sector, with Sophie being recognised not only for her role at Spitfire, but also her wider contribution to sector as Chair of the Midlands branch of trade body Women In Property.

Ben Leather, Managing Director at Spitfire Homes, said:

“Spitfire is committed to delivering quality new homes across the Midlands, creating places where people are proud to live. Being awarded Small Residential Development of the Year for our collection at Haseley Manor is testament to this commitment, recognising our ability to deliver a statement collection of houses and apartments, including the refurbishment of a listed building.

“As a business, we are incredibly proud of what we have achieved at Haseley Manor I would like to thank the Spitfire team for their hard work and dedication.

“For Sophie to be named as Emerging Property Person of the Year is an enormous achievement. There are many strong property professionals across the region, so to be recognised within the industry is a huge accomplishment. Congratulations to Sophie on this well-deserved award, which recognises not only her contribution to Spitfire, but also to the sector as a whole.”

Sophie Smith, Land Manager at Spitfire Homes, added:

“I am incredibly grateful to have won this award. I am proud of the role I have played as part of the team at Spitfire over the past two years and my contribution in securing new opportunities to support our ambitious land strategy. Outside of my role at Spitfire, my involvement with Women in Property has been especially rewarding, giving me the opportunity to grow my network, attract fresh talent to the sector and support those already within it.

“I’m excited for the coming years with Spitfire as we continue to grow our profile across the Midlands region, and look forward to seeing what the future holds.”
