Spitfire Homes Secures Planning Permission to Deliver 240 Premium New Homes at Malabar, Daventry

Spitfire Homes has secured planning permission for the next 240 homes at Malabar, our largest collection to date, marking another major milestone for the growing Daventry community.

The approval covers the next phases of Malabar, situated off Staverton Road, and enables Spitfire to build on the success of the community so far, which will ultimately become a 1,100-home collection across the 123-acre site.

The decision follows strong demand for the homes already purchased throughout the scheme, with only a selection of properties currently remaining, highlighting the appeal of being part of a Spitfire Homes community. The next phases will bring a new selection of thoughtfully designed house types to Malabar, expanding the range of homes within the collection and Spitfire’s emphasis on design and energy efficiency. Solar panels, air source heat pumps, underfloor heating and electric vehicle charging points will be included as standard, complemented by a high-quality internal specification throughout each home.

Malabar has been shaped around a series of distinct character areas, ranging from village-style homes against a rural backdrop, to more urban townhouses closer to a central square. The variation in architecture, street scenes and setting creates an inviting sense of community.

When complete, the collection will boast over 50 acres of public open space, connected by green corridors and more than three kilometres of walking and cycling routes. The delivery of the scheme is expected to bring in more than £12 million of investment to the local area and support the employment of over 3,400 people.
