Spitfire Secret Santa Winners Announced

Today, we’re proud to announce the winners of the Secret Santa element of the Spitfire Advent Calendar, each receiving a financial donation to support their work or to enjoy a well-deserved treat this Christmas.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been overwhelmed by the nominations we received – stories of people supporting their communities, lifting others through difficult times, and showing kindness without expecting recognition.

While this initiative was originally intended for one person, the volume of thoughtful nominations meant we’ve extended this final gesture to support three nominees instead.

RadCooks, Radcliffe on Trent

Every week, Trish and Kate, along with their dedicated team of volunteers, prepare and deliver over 70 hot meals to elderly and vulnerable members of the Radcliffe on Trent community. Thanks to their tireless efforts, the community kitchen continues to grow, welcoming more people into its care.
This donation will help fund a special Christmas Eve gathering, bringing everyone together to celebrate, share a meal, and enjoy the festive season.

Gina Stephens, High Street Gardeners, Moreton-in-Marsh

Gina has been the driving force behind the High Street Gardeners, the volunteer group who have planted and cared for over 30 tree gardens and planters along Moreton-in-Marsh High Street over the past two years.
The donation will help celebrate Gina and the team’s ongoing care of these beautiful community spaces.

Sophie Wildeman

During her first pregnancy, Sophie experienced ongoing pain that led to repeated hospital visits, before being diagnosed with a serious neck injury late in her pregnancy, which resulted in spinal surgery.
This donation is a small way to give her a well-deserved treat once she recovers and to bring some joy to a very different Christmas than the one she had planned with her baby.
