Spitfire Launches Festive Community Initiative to Support Local Businesses and Charities

Spitfire Homes has launched a new festive initiative designed to bring communities together in the run up to Christmas, combining charitable donations, fundraising activities and collaborations with independent businesses.

Across the first 12 days of December, the initiative will see Spitfire donate books, toys and essential winter items to support families, children and vulnerable individuals. Alongside these donations, Spitfire is offering festive gifts, seasonal treats and local experiences sourced through its network of independent business partners.

The initiative builds on Spitfire’s longstanding commitment to supporting small businesses through our award-winning Gold Card scheme, which encourages residents across its developments to shop locally and engage with community enterprises.

Independent retailers taking part in the festive programme have welcomed the opportunity to collaborate. One independent business commented: “Community is at the heart of what we do, and this initiative is a wonderful way to share some festive cheer while highlighting the importance of supporting local businesses at Christmas.”

As part of the scheme, Spitfire is also supporting regional charities and community organisations that provide essential services to older people, families and those facing hardship during the winter months. These organisations offer practical assistance, social activities, specialist services and guidance to help individuals remain connected and supported.

Launching on 1st December, Spitfire’s festive community initiative is free to enter and open to all, with activities and giveaways shared across multiple regions. The Advent Calendar will spotlight more than 16 independent businesses throughout the Midlands and beyond.
