Independent Coffee Shops Partner with Spitfire Homes to Bring Free Coffees to Community

On Tuesday 17th February, for Random Acts of Kindness Day, we’re giving independent cafés a helping hand and sharing complimentary coffees with the local community.

To celebrate the day, we’re partnering with cafés and coffee shops local to each of our collections and offering free coffees throughout the day to help spread positivity and support local businesses, with our official selling agents in each area matching the donation.

Random Acts of Kindness Day is an annual occasion dedicated to promoting compassion and goodwill through small, thoughtful gestures. Celebrated globally each year on 17th February, it encourages people to perform unexpected acts of kindness that brighten someone’s day and create a ripple effect within communities.

By taking part, we hope to build on our longstanding commitment to supporting the independent businesses that shape the neighbourhoods where we operate, while also creating feel-good moments for the wider community.

The initiative follows the success of our festive Advent Calendar campaign in December 2025, which involved a series of community-focused gestures across several of our collections, including festive items and gifts to collect, charitable donations and support for local organisations, helping to spread seasonal cheer.

We are delighted to partner with Spitfire Homes on this initiative. As a community-focused business, Church Road Coffee thrives on bringing people together, so offering free coffees for Random Acts of Kindness Day felt like a natural fit. Spitfire share our values of community and connection, reflecting the welcoming environment we strive to create here.

Matt Vincent, Operations Director at Spitfire Homes, commented:

Random Acts of Kindness Day is a simple but powerful reminder that small gestures can make a real difference.

As a family-owned homebuilder passionate about creating integrated communities, this day resonates strongly with us, and we’re proud to be taking part. By partnering with independent cafés close to our collections, we’re not only sharing a small moment of kindness with residents and visitors, but also shining a spotlight on the fantastic local businesses that help give each place its own identity. We hope this initiative brings a smile to people’s faces and encourages others to spread a little positivity.”
