Sustainable Futures
Our commitment to delivering a sustainable future.
Spitfire Homes is committed to delivering sustainable futures.
Many of our homes feature air-source heat pumps, solar PV panels with battery provision, underfloor heating and electric vehicle charging points.
However, we want to do more. Working with our parent company, IM Properties, we have launched Sustainable Futures. This framework sets out our ambitions to 2030, based on three central themes of People, Place and Planet, and our core values of Integrity, Commitment, Respect and Togetherness that underpin everything we do.
We’re pledging that, over the next decade, sustainability will be at the heart of how we work. Calling on our experience, financial strength and strategic decision making, we’ll deliver better value, build stronger relationships with our stakeholders and, crucially, leave a beneficial legacy in the communities where we work.
People
Our people are our greatest asset, so it’s crucial for the success of our sustainability framework that we’re all on board together and pulling in the same direction. Our 2030 ambition is to enable and inspire sustainable thinking from our employees and the communities in which we work.
Place
Spitfire has an important role to play supporting and sustaining communities beyond bricks and mortar. Our projects and investments can be used as a force for good, either through provision of capital that allows new community projects to take place or existing ones to be sustained, or through the application of our time, energy and expertise.
Planet
All new domestic dwellings will be designed to be Net Zero ready by 2030, and we will deliver our first Net Zero ready Spitfire homes by 2025. We will also reduce carbon emissions across the entire development project lifecycle, working in partnership with our supply chain.
